Dr. Yvonne del Carmen Ramirez Berreteaga has left us, reluctantly,
to chase new dreams and explore
the mysteries and marvels of God's
wonderful universe. She has been received, through the grace of God,
in the loving embrace of her adored mother and father, Ivelisse and Armando, who preceded her in this journey.
From beyond the limits of bodily illness she will continue to watch over her precious daughter, Yvelisse Welden-Ramirez; her brothers, Robert and Rafa;  her sisters, Shady and Mari; her beloved friends, Jennie, Sandra, Wayne and Summer and the many nieces and nephews she so loved and spoiled
(That means you: Pepo, Gabriela, Natalia, Brittney, Alexa, Ana Cristina, Eduardo, Rin, Fernando and Ariana).

Her passion for the practice of pediatric medicine, her bountiful care and love for her patients, her generosity of spirit, her immeasurable artistic talent, her compassion and respect for animals, and the joy she found in family, friends and Disney World will never be forgotten and will always remind us of the best way to live life.
She weathered storms, faced obstacles and came out the other side victorious, held no grudges, offered comfort, kept the peace, helped every person she found in her path and left each one better for having known her.

Her body gave out but her soul never will.  She will live in our love and our commitment to emulate the way she supported others selflessly, in a million ways, great and small.

May she rejoice in God's presence and his loving embrace.

Services will be held at 3PM on Tuesday March 31, 2026 at East Dillon Baptist Church, 702 South 16th Avenue, Dillon, South Carolina. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
