Winford Rue Hardee, 87, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 9, 1936 in Conway, SC, a son of the late I.W. Hardee and Dottie Stevens Hardee.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie S. Hardee and son, Rodney Hardee.

Winford was an avid fisherman and loved sitting under his big oak tree with family and friends. He was a retired plumber, a jack of all trades. Winford was a family man that loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren and was known as grandpa to all the kids he met.

Mr. Hardee is survived by his daughter, Wendy Martin and husband Bert; grandchildren, Matt   and Kayla Causey, Dusty and Kristy Causey; great grandchildren, Kendal Causey, Dustin Causey II, Leighton Causey, Bridges Causey; sister, Esther Edwards; brothers, Frontis Hardee and Gentry Hardee; sister-in-law, Joan Suggs Squires and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Graveside Service will be held 2pm Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Mountain Cemetery with Rev. Mike Kinlaw and Jamie Suggs officiating.

The family will receive friends at Watson Funeral Services from 12:30pm until 1:30pm.
