Special request from his son,
My father, Willie Joe Martin, shared his home-going plans with me many times. To ease the financial burden of his departure, he bought several plots and headstones years ago. A headstone, with his name and birth date already engraved on it, has long been erected on the plot he designated for himself. This plot is beside my late brother, Billie Joe Martin.
Daddy wants his remains laid to rest beside his son, presided over by Mack Hutson, with his family and friends present, along with a military send-off, to celebrate his life of 78 years.
