William Causey, 78, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. He was born July 31, 1944 in Myrtle Beach, a son of Austin Causey and Francis Causey.

In addition to his parents Austin and Francis, he was also predeceased by his siblings, Alton, Phillip, Carolyn, Joe, Doris and Janice Causey.

William grew up in Myrtle Beach where he loved to hunt, fish, swim & shag dance. He married Elizabeth Marshall, from England, in 1965 & then served in the air force from 1967-1970. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist church in Myrtle Beach. William then moved his family to Alaska to work on the Alyeska pipeline, where they enjoyed a homesteading life of outdoor adventures.

Mr. Causey is survived by his son, Jason Causey; daughters, Samantha Burgess, Ruth Smith, Rhonda Myers and Sarah Haymon; brothers, Louis Causey and Dennis Causey; sisters, Judy Causey and Mary Jane Causey; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
