William "Bill" Elwood Bethel, 89, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living with his wife by his side. He was born October 3, 1932 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Burdette and Alice Stake Bethel.

He was also predeceased by his twin brothers, Richard and Robert Bethel and a sister-in-law, Carol Bethel.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to many. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching sports, especially his Chicago Cubs.

Mr. Bethel is survived by his wife, Alice Merle Bethel of sixty-nine years; children, Scott Bethel (Christine), Steven Bethel (Kevin) and Susan Bethel (Gary); grandchildren, Lindsay Hutchins (Eric), Brendan Bethel (Bridget) and Carney Bethel (Sal); great grandchild, Graham Hutchins; brother-in-law, Robert Cameron (Bonnie); sister-in-law, Judy Bethel and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, December 10, 2021 at St. Paul's Anglican Church.

A Reception will follow after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, 710 Main St. Conway, SC 29526.
