Virginia V. Skipper Hucks, 78, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born February 16, 1948 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Sam Porter Vereen and Margaret Kirby Vereen.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her first husband, Jim William Skipper and brothers, Joe Eugene Vereen and William Vereen.

Virginia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her faith was a strong hold on her everyday life. She enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Mrs. Hucks is survived by her husband of twenty-one years, Troy Arther Hucks; children, Jimmy Skipper (Michelle), Judy Skipper (JW Lightsey) and Faye Maul (Joey); siblings, Samuel Vereen (Marlene), Robert Vereen, Shirl Lane (Fred), Marilyn Vereen, Linda Vereen and Kay Rogers; five grandchildren, Dale Larrimore (Ashley), Michael Maul, Dallas Maul, Jamie Skipper and Brayden Skipper; great grandchild, Waylon Larrimore and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm Monday, August 3, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Darrell Langston officiating.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
