Troy "Tony" C. Cox, Jr., 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Conway Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born October 17, 1945 in Conway, he was the son of the late Troy C. Cox Sr. and Allene Todd Cox.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Cox.

Tony was a lifelong member of Langston Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He had a giving heart, always ready to serve others no matter what the need. He served his country as a National Guardsman. He was a contractor, building homes for many people in Horry County. He also enjoyed building any kind of project upon request. Tony was tremendously talented, whether it was working with his hands or bringing joy to someone's life. He will most of all be remembered for being a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all he met.

Mr. Cox is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Glenda McDowell Cox; children, Jaret Cox and Andrea Cox Pilch (David); grandchildren, Jared Pilch and Kaydan Pilch, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Langston Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Blair, Rev. Bruce Davenport and Rev. David Watts officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
