Thomas Eugene Pennington, 64, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1959 in Tokyo, Japan, a son of the late Herman Jefferson Pennington and Mary Putman Pennington.

He is predeceased by his parents; son, Cody Pennington; siblings, Herman J. Pennington Jr., and Milton Ray Pennington.

Thomas was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed fishing, working and spending time with his family. His favorite football team was the Rams.

Mr. Pennington is survived by his wife, Cindy Yarger Pennington; sons, Scott L. Pennington, Dustin Pennington and Nick Scarpa; daughter, Kristen Pennington; two brothers, Gary Pennington (Lisa) and Herbert Pennington (Audrey); sisters, Deborah Robinson, Ann Brittian (Chuck), Wanda Pennington and Linda Bullard (Bill); five grandchildren, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
