Thomas William Gibson Jr., 78, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born December 28, 1946 in Charlotte, NC, a son of the late Thomas William Gibson Sr. and Christine Turner Gibson.

He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Madyson Lynn Gibson.

Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. A member of the Christian Motorcycle Association, where he served as President, Chaplain and State Chaplain. He was a former Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop, # 856. He also preached the gospel for twenty years, enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and was a Vietnam Veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Glenda Cox Gibson; children, Thomas William Gibson III (Sheri) and Sean Christian Gibson (Michelle); brother, John Marvin Gibson; grandchildren, Sean Christian Gibson II and Madilyn Michelle Gibson; great grandchild, Joshua Charles King, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Socastee Family Worship Center will be having a Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Gibson on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at 3pm with Rev. Chuck McElroy and Pastor Wilbur Davis officiating.
