Thelma Simmons, 95 passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at McLeod Seacoast. She was born October 14, 1928 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Ben and Laura Sessions.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Paul Earl Simmons; two sons, Edward Smith and Johnny Mack Smith; grandson, Dustin Warren; sisters, Estelle Wright and Marie McCrackin; brothers, Junior Sessions and Harvey Sessions.

Thelma enjoyed reading, gardening and going to church.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her son, John Thomas Smith Jr. (Neita); daughters, Patricia Ann Gore (John Winfred) and Debbie Warren (Charlie); nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

A Funeral Service will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Everhart officiating the service.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
