Susann Jacbson Cates, 58, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026 at her residence. She was born April 15, 1968 in Buffalo, New York, a daughter of the Hans Friedrich and Marianne Hippeli Friedrich.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Boone Herring.

Mrs. Cates enjoyed baking, spending time with her family and friends. She loved her dogs and helping people.

Mrs. Cates is survived by her husband John Longo; son, Cody Cates; daughter, Lindsey Jester (Roy); brothers, Stephen Friedrich (Karen) and Bob Friedrich (Sandy); five grandchildren, Lydia, Caroline, Aiden, Emily, Hazel and Jacob; many other family and friends who will miss her.
