Obituary

Ruby Isla Lewis Chadwick, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Angel Oaks Nursing and Rehab after a long illness. Born November 1, 1940 in Aynor, a daughter of the late Scarbourgh and Maude Marrow Lewis.

Ruby was the heart and soul of her family, known for her laughter and compassion. A devoted mother of two; grandmother of five and great grandmother of eight. Ruby's greatest comfort came from loving her family unconditionally. One of Ruby's passions came from volunteering to help heart surgery patients during rehabilitation. Ruby always said some of her greatest achievements was being an owner of multiple businesses and getting her real estate license.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Stephen Chadwick; children, Stephen Chadwick and Randy Chadwick; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss her.

A Graveside will be held 11am Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Red Hill Cemetery with Rev. Chris Grainger officiating.

The family will received friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
