Roy Artie Johnson, 64, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Henry Lloyd "HL" Johnson, Sr. and Mary E. Brown Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Gauge Artie Johnson and brother, James Allen Johnson.

Artie was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed fishing, racing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved his Lord and Savior.

Mr. Johnson is survived by two children, Tiffany Lynn Johnson (Ben Morey) and Shasta Ann Sutton (Tim); siblings, Henry Lloyd Johnson Jr. (Debra), Roger Dale Johnson (Rose Mary), Edward Levon Johnson, Timmy Johnson (Stephanie Gibson) and Annie Bell Johnson; five grandchildren, Harley Ann Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Braelyn Johnson, Ryleigh Sutton and Saylor Sutton; two great grandchildren, Crown Barham and Ryver Barham and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel.

The family will receive friends after the service.
