Rosemary Emma Chestnut, 92, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 14, 1931 in Hamilton Bermuda, a daughter of the late Ernest Snape and Roseida Lindo Snape.

Rosemary was predeceased by her husband, Vonnie Chestnut, daughter-in-law, Annette Chestnut and her granddaughter, Sonja Fann.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

Rosemary loved her family and spending time with them. She had a passion for helping and ministering to others.

Mrs. Chestnut is survived by her children, Ronald Chestnut, Linda Jackson and Karen Chestnut; grandchildren, Kelly Gasque (Don), Jared Walker (Becky), Dawn Gladney (Jamie), Shawn Chestnut, Jessica Robinson, Brandon Townley (Julie), Bobbie Jo Walter (Mike) and Tonya Brugman (Brian); thirteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 at the church prior to the service.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday December 28, 2023 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Grainger, Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Denis McCorry officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
