Obituary

Rosalie S. Locklear, 73, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at GSRMC with her loving family by her side. She was born March 29, 1953 in Conway, a daughter of the late Clinton and Evelyn Mincey Simmons.

She was also predeceased by her son, Bruce Locklear; grandchildren, Madison Locklear and Nicholas Locklear; siblings, Robert E. Simmons and Steve O. Simmons and the father of her children, Lyndal Locklear.

Rosalie enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her family immensely and also enjoyed having breakfast at the Waffle House with her son and sister.

Ms. Locklear is survived by her son, Shannon Locklear (Danielle); siblings, James Simmons, Thomas Simmons and Elouise King; grandchildren, Madeline Martin (Ethan), Malorie Soles (Alex) and Ryder Soles; great grandchildren, Lakota Martin and Dani Kate Martin; special nieces, Melissa Collins and Rita Lampkin; special friend, Cynthia Alford (Carey) and many other family and friends who will miss her.

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services from 5pm until 7pm.

Funeral Services will be held 11:30am, Friday, April 10, 2026 at Evergreen FWB Church with Don Larrimore and Rev. Billy Poe Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
