Rosa C. Massie Tompkins, 97, passed away June 5, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living. Born June 20, 1924 in Doerun, GA., she was the daughter of the late DeWitt T. Cheek and Irene H. cheek Snow.

She was also predeceased by her husband of fifty-four years, Robert W. Massie, Sr. and her second husband, George Tompkins.

Rosa was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was an active member of Glasgow Baptist Church for sixty-years and Glasgow Women's Club. She was an avid volunteer for various church and community events. For seventeen years, she was the librarian at Natural Bridge Learning Center.

Mrs. Tompkins is survived by two children, Robert Massie of Galivants Ferry, SC and his wife, Regina Massie and a daughter, Betty Massie Jordan, of Holden Beach, NC, and her husband, Steven Jordan; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many other family and friends who will miss her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Glasgow, VA.
