Ronald J. Stalvey Sr., 82, passed away peacefully, Thursday March 13, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born April 1, 1942 in Conway, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Reba Cox Stalvey.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ronald Stalvey Jr.; brother, Lloyd Stalvey, and sister Isobel Bryant.

Mr. Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a well-known and successful business man in the Conway area for many years, best known as the owner/operator of Stalvey's Bait and Tackle. He was also the previous owner of Stalvey's Cleaners, Stalvey's Liquor Store, as well as a barber shop. He loved spending time with his family as well as sitting around the table at Stalvey's Bait and Tackle, with a cup of coffee, fellowshipping with his friends. He also enjoyed cooking, fishing, and collecting antique cars, as well as being a member of the Conway Masonic Lodge #65, and a Shriner for many years.

Mr. Stalvey is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Thompkins Stalvey; children, Mark Stalvey (Anna) and Michele Estep (Joseph King); step-daughters, Donna L. Hucks, and Karen H. McGowan; Sister, Cheryl Harrison (John); six grandchildren, Kristen  Stalvey (MacKenzie Gallien), Cierra Vaught (Bradley), Ronald Stalvey III, Taylor Stalvey (Nathan Grainger), Logan Estep, and Braylee Estep;  one step-grandchild, Robert McGowan, and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm March 23, 2025 at The Waccamaw Shrine Club, 10 Elm Street Conway, SC 29526.
