On August 18, 1958, Robert Lyle and Barbara Jean Lyle were blessed with Roderick Algelon Lyle. Rod was the fourth child of six welcomed into their union. Rod unexpectedly passed away on May 5, 2022. He was a kind and caring father, son, brother and husband. His work ethic was unparalleled.

After graduating from Winder Barrow High School he joined the Marines to serve his country. After his time in the Marines he attended Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. During his very commendable career he was employed by two Fortune 500 companies, AT&T and Home Depot both located in Atlanta Georgia. During his career Rod was continuously learning and improving. He received numerous IT Certifications and he earned his Master's Degree from Capella University. He was a master in his profession.

Rod enjoyed and shared his love for Jazz music. He was an avid reader, he knew the importance of fitness, he was a cyclist, he played and watched basketball and loved watching football. Good movies was also an enjoyment of his.

He was blessed with two sons, during his union with Tammy Smith Lyle, Thomas C. Lyle and Cullen M. Lyle both of Surfside Beach, SC. He also had a son, Shanga Lee (Atlanta, GA) with Joyce Lee.  He was a devoted father, always giving encouragement and motivating his boys. He instilled his enthusiasm for learning and his excellent work ethic into his children and others.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Lyle, his mother Barbara Jean Lyle; two brothers Thomas Christopher Lyle and Marcus Ricardo Lyle and a sister Greta Lyle Eberhart.

He leaves to cherish his many wonderful memories his three sons, Shanga Lee, Thomas Christopher Lyle and Cullen Matthew Lyle; two grandchildren, Erica Lee and Shane Lee; one sister Sonja Lyle and one brother Norris Lyle.

He also leaves to host of relatives, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends Monday, May 16, 2022 at Eberhart Funeral home from 12noon to 7pm.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday May 17, 2022 at 11am at Eberhart Funeral Home Chapel in Winder, GA.
