Robert "Bob" O'neal Causey, 83, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Embrace Hospice. He was born on June 10, 1940, in Horry County, a son of the late James O'neal and Ruby Hardee Causey.

He was predeceased by his sister, Jean Syer.

Bob was a loving brother and friend to everyone. He had many friends scattered over the United States, from his service in the United States Army, with whom he maintained contact over the years.

He was adventurous and had an inquiring mind. He was an avid reader and a longtime patron of the Horry County Library in Conway. Because of his reading on many topics, he was an interesting conversationalist.

Mr. Causey is survived by his siblings, Saundra Carmichael and James William Causey; a very good friend and care taker, David "Dave" Rice and other family and friends who will miss him.
