Richard Howard Lesley, 72, of Conway, SC passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 13, 2023. He was born May 5, 1951 in Pickens, SC. Richard was the son of Velma Lesley and the late Daniel M. Lesley, Sr. of Conway, SC. Richard served in the United States Air Force for several years. Upon returning home, he attended the University of South Carolina and later went on to be a General Contractor and Architect. After retiring, Richard had his most important job, being a caretaker for his mother. In addition to his father, Richard was predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Jean Bare and Karen Edge. In addition to his mother of Conway, Richard is survived by two children, a son, Adam Lesley and wife, Pam of Aynor, SC and a daughter, Jennifer Tyler and husband, Joey of Conway, SC; along with five grandchildren: Caitlin, Scott, Megan, Preston, and Ellie. Richard is also survived by a brother, Daniel M. Lesley, Jr. and wife, Nancy of Palm Coast, FL and a sister, Sandra Plance and husband, Bob of Pawleys Island, SC; along with many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their help during this time.

A Celebration of his Life will be held  3:30pm Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Langston Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 3:30pm prior to the service at the church.
