Obituary

Rev. Wayne Allen Goodman, 53, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at GSRMC ER on Hwy 501 with his family by his side.

He was born October 25, 1972 in Logan County, WV, a son of the late Charles Allen Goodman and Patricia Ferrell Goodman.

He was also predeceased by his wife and the mother of his children, Tara Elaine Goodman.

Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, but most importantly he was a man of God. He loved spreading the gospel to all who would listen. He pastored at Free Welcome FWB Church for twelve years and many other churches in the area throughout his ministry. For the last twenty-five years he owned and operated Allen’s Trucking. Allen lived life to the fullest, especially loving to pull jokes and picking at others. When it came to riding his motorcycle, side by side, dirt bike or flying his plane he had no fear. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.

Rev. Goodman is survived by his wife, Rhonda Lynn Bazen Goodman; children, Anthony Goodman, Tildon Goodman, Samuel Goodman and Nataly Goodman Brandt (Shawn); maternal grandmother, Lois Ferrell “Mamaw”; step children, Tyler Smith (Jacquelyn) and Kevin Smith (Chelise); brother, Carl Ashley Goodman; grandchild, Adalynn Brandt; step grandchildren, Bryce Smith, Maverick Smith, Maddox Smith, Roman Smith, Cali Smith and Liam Smith, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 4pm, Thursday, October 29, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Buddy Seay and Rev. Robert Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3:45pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
