Phillips E. Simmons, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at his residence. He was born January 18, 1952 in Horry County, a son of the late Harvey Fulton and Annie Smith Simmons.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Phillip Harvey Simmons; sisters, Sherry Nesmith, Judy Simmons King and Alisha Lee Simmons; daughter-in-law, Niki Simmons.

Phillip retired from SCDOT after twenty-five years of service. He also served his country in the Army National Guard for thirteen years. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and spending time with his family.

Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Linda Turner Simmons; children, Beverly Christine Simmons; grandchildren, Erika Simmons, Elishia Bell, Khalaya Grant, Omar Sabr, Amir Samad and Jaymie Lynn Simmons; great grandchildren, Jerren Bell, Jayla Bell and Jhase Bellamy and many other family and friends who will miss him.
