Philip Halstead Hartung Jr., 85, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Embrace Hospice. He was born August 17, 1934 in East Orange, NJ, a son of the late Philip H. Hartung Sr. and Mayetta Newman Hartung.

He was also predeceased by a son, Thomas Hartung.

Philip graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and a Master's Degree in Finance from Seton Hall University. Philip was also past President of Jaycees in Westfield NJ, Track and Field Judge in NJ, Junior Golf Champion at Baltusrol Golf Club in NJ and was a US Army Veteran.

Mr. Hartung is survived by his beloved wife, Alexa Ragsdale Hartung, a daughter of the late James and Agnes Ragsdale of Tabor City and the late Annette Ragsdale of Chicago, IL; children, Philip Hartung III, John Hartung, Heather Akers, Jane Barnes and Jennifer Bartsch; stepchildren, Matthew Mancini and Pamela Ann Mancini; brother, Sam Hartung; thirteen grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss him.
