Penny Grace Hughes, 86, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Pruitt Health. Born April 15, 1939 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin John and Mabel Hennion Kazmeirczcak.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest A. Hughes, Jr.; son, Ernest A. Hughes III; sisters, Cathy Huber, Nancy Freschi, Gayle Kazmierczak and Jane Torres.

Penny was an awesome and caring mom, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. Raising her siblings from a very young age, family was very important to her. Penny enjoyed playing Bingo and was a huge fan of the Young and Restless.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her daughters, Cheryl A. Putney and her late husband Carl and Roxanne Vozza and her late husband, Thomas; siblings, John Kazmierczak, Ed Kazmierczak (Linda), Barry Kazmierczak (Dave), Sharon Leiti and her late husband Dan and Linda McKenzie (Ken); grandchildren, Crystal Wahl (Ryan), Keith Vozza (Adrianna), Christopher Vozza and Megan Grace Hughes; great grandchildren, Allison, Aubrey and Ryan Wahl, along with many other family and friends who will miss her.
