Paul Harold Holt, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 25, 1939 in Conway, a son of the late William Fred Holt and Sallie King Holt.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Fred Holt Jr. and Kenneth S. Holt.

Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman and always made sure his yard was well maintained. Paul was a retired Sergeant, with the SC Highway Patrol after thirty years of service. He also worked at Watson Funeral Services for several years because of his passion for helping people. He volunteered with the Salvation Army for many years and was a member of the Etiwan Masonic Lodge in Mount Pleasant. Paul and Mr Davies were very instrumental in placing the Ten Commandments in many businesses throughout Horry County.

Mr. Holt is survived by his wife, of thirty-seven years, Denise Shelton Holt; daughter, Alison Holt Evans (Alvie); four step children, David Appell (Phillis), Bryan Appell (Shaunna), Chris Wood (Gabby) and Amy Wood; three grandchildren, Ashley Dix (Steven), Melissa Ornelas (Michael) and Rebecca Koch (Tim); four great grandchildren; Layla, Bristol, Brantley and Walker; ten step grandchildren, Nathan, Haiden, Alyssa, Preston, Kami, Remi, Baby K, Christian, Deuce and Philip; mother and father in law, John and Margie Doiron; sister-in-laws, Naomi Holt and Barbara Holt; nephew, Greg Holt and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Chaplin John Leidy and Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
