Patsy McIntyre Shelley, 71, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, July 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 20, 1954 in Chesterfield SC, a daughter of the late John Robert McIntyre and Viola Bell Wensil McIntyre.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Betty McIntyre Caster; her son, Johnny Wayne Burmette Jr. and her grandson, Charlie Clayton Foley II.

Patsy was a strong independent woman who loved her family dearly, especially her great grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard and was always fond of camping at Lake Tillery, NC. and Hunting Beach State Park. Patsy enjoyed square dancing with her friends and family, loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Shelley is survived by her daughters, Betty Burnette Brown (Jeff) of Albermarle NC and Patty Ann Burnette of Conway; sisters, Francis Black of Norwood NC and Sherry McIntyre Bryan of Jacksonville Fl; brother, James Lee McIntyre of Concord NC; grandchildren, Hannah Gibbs (Bailey), Amber Venus (David), Nicolas Brown (Star), Ashley Ferris (Tim), Zackary Clark (Katie) and Maxie Decoff; great grandchildren, Brantley, Baylor, Blakely, Bodie, Madelyn, Wesley and Athena along with many other family and friends who will miss her.

The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to her caregivers at Grand Strand Hospital and Agape Hospice Care of Pawleys Island.

In Lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations to be made Hospice Care of Pawleys Island, 56 Business Center Dr., Pawleys Island SC, 29585.
