Patricia "Pat James, 82, died Thursday, September 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 27, 1939 in Britton's Neck, a daughter of the late Eddie and Katie Joe Brown Cox.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jo Ann Marie Singleton; siblings, Eddie Wymon Cox, Marilyn Faye Rittenberry, Sandra Gale Cox and Terry Cox.

Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family, taking care of her grandchildren and making sure everyone was laughing all the time.

Ms. James is survived by her son, Stephen C. James and his wife Jodie of Galivants Ferry; a brother, Larry Cox and his wife Lunette; four grandchildren, McKayla Marie Squires (Storm), Nicholas Stephen James, Kacie Ann James and Avery Tyler Singleton; son in law, Marvin Singleton; one great-grandchild Josie Maven Squires, many nieces; nephews along with other family and friends who will miss her.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:30pm Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Souls Chapel Cemetery with Rev Randy James officiating.
