Nicholas Stephen James, 26, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at MUSC Health Columbia, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 6, 1998 in Conway, a son of Stephen Clifton and Jodie Ann Rabon James.

He was also predeceased by his pappy, Clifton and mama Pat James; Papa Charles Holt and aunt, Jo Ann Singleton.

Nicholas was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend. He went to school at ATA Fire School where he received his fire and rescue certificates. He became a Junior Volunteer Fireman with the Horry County Fire and Rescue. Nicholas enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, singing and karaoke. Most of all he enjoyed sitting around a fire, singing and talking with family and friends, with his service dog, Sam, by his side.

In addition to his parents, Stephen and Jodie James, Nicholas is survived by his sister, Kacie Ann James (Wes Richardson); uncles, Greg Holt (Shannon) and Marvin Singleton; cousins, Frehley Holt, McKayla Squires (Storm) and Avery Singleton; mama, Tammy Hyatt; papa, Mike Rabon; very close friend who he did everything with, Noah Martin and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Monday December 16, 2024 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Pastor Randy James officiating.

Burial will follow at Souls Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The rest of the time the family will receive friends at their home.
