Myra Dawn Russell, 65, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC.

Myra was born August 12, 1959, in South Carolina to the late Laris Graham and Shelby Jean Graham Thompkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Russell and daughter, Shannon Norman.

Myra was a hardworking woman, and a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and shopping on QVC. Myra was a retired LPN.

Survivors include sons, David (Jenny) Norman of KY, and Charles (Chassidy) Jones of Oakboro, NC; daughter, Heather Jones (Austin Kincaid); grandchildren Matthew Jones and Zaxton Kincaid; siblings Randy (Connie) Graham, Kathy (Wendell) Long, and Lorraine (Donald) Howard, also a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on 11am, Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Oakey Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Singleton officiating.

Burial will follow at C. Graham Cemetery on Hampton Road.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
