Max Lee Hoover, 84, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Mcleod Health Carolina Forest.  He was born January 10, 1940 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, a son of the late Caroll Max Hoover and Opal Nance Hoover.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his son, Eber Shannon Hoover and his brother, Eddie Hoover.

Max was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He served in the US Navy for many years. Max enjoyed writing, researching genealogy and antique cars. He also had a passion for serving his Lord and Savior, associating and influencing young people, especially his grandchildren. Max had an awesome vision seeing how things could be with what he saw. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Hoover is survived by his wife, Wilma Lowe Hoover; son, Patrick Lee Hoover (Deandra); a sister, Marie Doty; daughter-in-law, Beth Hoover (wife of the late Eber Hoover); grandchildren, Ethan Hoover (Fiancée, Braylee), Madelynn Hoover, Alekza Hoover, Eli Hoover and Sydney Hoover, along with other family and friends who will miss him.
