Mary Clewis, 87, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born November 4, 1938 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Herbert King and Rosa Allen King.

She was also predeceased by her daughters, Mary Johnson and Joann Clewis; brothers, Herbert King Jr. and J.D. King; sisters, Elizabeth Coates and Hilda Williams.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, dressing up and having fun. She loved attending church and helping people.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Cannon (Wendy); five grandchildren, Alicia Goude, Natasha Snowden, Savannah Taylor, Mary Kate Henegar and Benji McDowell; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Mary Brown and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Stephen Hyman and Rev. Buddy Seay officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Ray Cribb officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
