Markland "Bud" Howard Whiting, 95, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at NHC Healthcare Charleston. He was born October 13, 1925 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Charles Daniel and Alberta Boyce Whiting.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Valaria Ann Whiting and his son, Gary Lee Whiting also predeceased him.

Bud was a US Navy Veteran.

Mr. Whiting is survived by his children, Richard "Brian" Whiting (Donna), Debra Hatcher (Mark), Theresa Ward and Yvonne Sersen (Ray); brother, Charlie Whiting; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; special friends, Charles and Anita Green and Susan Cook, and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Graveside Service will be held 10am Monday, October 11, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Robbin King and Dr. Terry Grainger officiating.
