Margaret L. Simmons, 79, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at Conway Medical Center. She was born March 14, 1944 in Horry County, a daughter of the late William S. Hearl and Flory Grace Shackleford Hearl.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Archie Simmons; brothers, Samuel Elwood Hearl and Donnie Alton Hearl and sisters, Marilyn Graham and Mary Grace Hearl.

Margaret was a loving mother, sister and a friend to all. She devoted her whole life to her family and loved spending time with them and enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her two sons, Archie Edward Simmons and John Edwin Simmons; two daughters, Pamela Ann Simmons and Alice Faye Simmons; brothers, James Hearl (Karen), William Hearl and George Hearl (Vickie); sisters, Flory Boone (Donald) and Alice "Libby" Hucks; one grandchild, Jenny Marie Cole; many nieces and nephews; along with many other family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday, October 13, 2023 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Hyman officiating.

Burial will follow at Tilly Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
