Margaret Pauline Hake, 92, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born May 1, 1933 in Green Sea, a daughter of the late Dwight Grainger and Mattie R Roberts Grainger.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Alex Bert Small and her second husband, Jerome John Hake; sons, Douglas "Buck" Small, Rodney Small and Chris Small; brother, Dwight W. Grainger Jr.

Margaret enjoyed crocheting, word searches and game shows.

Mrs. Hake is survived by her daughters, Beverly Jacobs (Charles) and Sally Small; sisters, Fonnie Watts, Greta Strickland and Shelby Jernigan; fifteen grandchildren, and many other family and friends who will miss her.

A Graveside Service will be held 2pm, Friday, November 7, 2025 at Carolina Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.

The family will receive family and friends after the service at the cemetery.
