Lucy Marie Hucks, age 95, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at home surrounded by family. Born in Galivants Ferry, she was the daughter of Ernest C. Hucks and Nancy Roberts Hucks. Lucy was a cherished member of Pisgah Methodist Church for many years and was well known for her famous pound cakes. She had a passion for cleaning, cooking, sewing, and working in her yard.

Lucy was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Joseph Wilbur Dix "JW", her son Weston Dix, and her grandson Brice Ambrose. She is survived by her son David Hucks, her daughter Audrey Ambrose and her husband Robert, three grandsons: Jason Hucks, Kevin Ambrose and his wife Mary, Kelly Dix and his wife Shana, and four great-grandchildren: McKinley Ambrose, Riley Ambrose, Luke Dix, Lake Dix, Joshua Hucks.. She was also loved and cherished by many nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Watson Funeral Services Chapel, with burial to follow at Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Watson Funeral Services and Crematory, located at 2300 Hwy 378, Conway, SC, is serving the family.
