Lonnie Patrick Martin, 86, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026 with his loving family by his side. He was born September 8, 1940 in Conway, a son of the late Lloyd Martin and Louise Todd Martin.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Billy Martin; sisters, Jan Skipper, Sallie Nettles; great grandson, Daxton Martin; great granddaughter, Allie Martin.
Lonnie was a loving, devoted husband to his beloved wife, Beulah Martin, with whom he shared sixty-five wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was a beautiful example of love, commitment and faithfulness. Above all, Lonnie loved the Lord and lived his life grounded in his faith. He was a faithful member of Toddville FWB of the Pentecostal Faith Church, where he served as a Deacon. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he lived, loved his family and treated those around him. His faith remained a source of strength throughout his life. Lonnie enjoyed many simple pleasures throughout his life. He loved hunting and fishing, spending time working in the garden, solving Sudoku puzzles, and scrolling through his tablet. He found happiness in these simple everyday moments.
He was survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Beulah Thompkins Martin; two sons, Dexter Martin (Jackie) and Anthony Martin (Shana); one sister, Geanean Brown (Harold); five grandchildren, Michael Dupuis (Carlette), Ricky Martin (Lindsey), Dexy Collins (Kevin), Shelby Butler Ristow and Carley Martin; seven great grandchildren, Emma Grace Dupuis, Seth Collins, Tiller Collins, Maks Collins, Glenn Martin, Bentley Parker and Brynlee Parker along with many other family and friends who will miss him.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Toddville FWB of the Pentecostal Faith Church with Rev. Mark Howard officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at Toddville FWB of the Pentecostal Faith Church.Burial will follow at Pauley Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
