Linda
Trickey
Jan 1, 1949 — Apr 15, 2023
Linda Trickey, 74, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 1, 1949, one of six children. She had three brothers, Johnny Beck, Charles Beck and Donnie Beck and two sisters, Marcy and Gloria.
During her younger years, her mother was remarried to Earl who became a big part of her life. Starting at a very young age, Linda enjoyed the beach and being in the sun. Myrtle Beach State Park become her favorite place.
Linda graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore, MD and married Anthony Joseph Ziegler. They were blessed with two sons, Brian Ziegler and Sam Ziegler and lived in Baltimore, MD.
Just like her mother, Linda enjoyed pottery and planting roses.
In 1987 she met the love of her life, Robert Trickey and soon after they were married. Linda became stepmom to Bob's four beautiful daughters, Joanna, Amy, Jennifer and Stephannie. Through their years together, they enjoyed dancing at Jason's in Annapolis, MD. Linda also enjoyed bowling, which she was very good at, winning many trophies and badges.
Together, Bob and Linda found love for golf and would spend many weekends playing at Bay Hills in Arnold, MD. There on Hole #4, Linda got a hole one, a true triumph and one she was so proud of. We were all very proud of her.
In 2008, both retired, they decided to move to Conway, SC, where they spent many days playing golf and going to the beach. It was in Conway where they met some of the best friends and got a new family member, a dog named Billy Bob. During this time grandchildren also came along. Brian Ziegler, Linda's first son, had a baby girl, Zoe Ziegler who is now ten. Her step-daughter had five children, Megan, Dominic, Matthew, Lauren and Jack. Then step-daughter Stephanie had a son, Gregory.
Linda's second son, Sam Ziegler is engaged to Erica Maylan. Erica thought of Linda as her mom, not just a mom-in-law and Linda treated her as a daughter.
The family was close and all loved one another very much. All thanks to our mom, Linda Trickey for keeping us a loving and happy family.
