L/Cpl. Eddie Daniel Martin, with the Horry County PD, age 45, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Conway Medical Center. Born November 5, 1980 in Conway, he was the son of Henry Martin and Gail Lilly Martin Todd.

Mr. Martin was predeceased by his step-dad, Ronald Todd; paternal grandfather, Frank Martin and maternal grandparents, Enoch and Leatha Lilly.

Eddie was a Horry County Police officer for twenty-six years, with the rank of L/Cpl. He enjoyed cooking and was on the HCPD cook team, and peer team. Along with cooking, he enjoyed going to church, hunting, fishing and helping others in need. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Tamera Jordan Martin; children, Benjamin Harrelson (Victoria) and Nicholas Harrelson (Bailey); sister, April Richardson (Kurtis); grandchildren, Zoey Harrelson and Kyleigh Richardson; special cousin, Lauren Martin; nephews, Barrett Richardson and Kolton Richardson, and his fur baby, Pippa, along with many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Friday, January 16, 2026 at The Rock Church, with Rev. Jonathan Vandermark and Rev. Chris Grainger officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church.
