Lavonia Pearl Griffin, 87, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 6, 1936 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Edgar and Rethe Branton Jones.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, J. B. Griffin; daughter, Wanda Pearl Eaddy and siblings, J. B. Jones, Harry F. Jones, Walton Jones and Leona Turbeville.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her children, James Odell Altman, Dean Russell Altman, Harvey Lee Duchnik, John David Duchnik; four grandchildren and many other family and friends who will miss her.

A Graveside Service will be held 2pm Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Collins Creek Cemetery, 11221 Hwy 707, Murrells Inlet, SC.
