Joseph T. Baker, 80, passed away Sunday January 7, 2024 at Conway Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born December 23, 1943 in Horry County, a son of the late Rev. Thurman Albert Baker and Eva Johnson Baker.

Joseph was a member of White Savannah Freewill Baptist Church. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Jimmy Baker, Robert Baker, Johnny Baker, Leroy Baker, Rev. Billy Baker and Mary James.

Mr. Baker is survived by his loving wife of fifty- eight years, Carolyn M. Baker; son, Steve Baker (Debra); daughter, Wendy Culler (Roderick); sisters, Eva Mae Williamson (Dawson) and Mary Wassell Hucks; four grandchildren, Wyatt Culler (Macy), Shelby Culler King (Bryce), Justin Baker and Nathan Baker (Skylar); four great grandchildren, Kayslin and Brooklyn King, Paisley and Alivia Culler and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be held 2pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at White Savannah Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Hyman and Rev. Buddy Seay officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm at the church prior to the service.
