Joel Thomas Elvis II, age 54, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 in Conway. He was born on September 13, 1967 in Conway, a son of Jeannie Floyd Elvis and the late Larry J. Elvis Sr.
He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all. He loved deeply and was always willing to help his fellow man in any endeavor. He loved Clemson Tigers football and was often seen wearing his Orange proudly! He also supported his Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball team with his baseball buddies. He enjoyed the great outdoors and deer hunting along with his hunting club brothers. Joey also had a passion for racing, which widened from go-cart racing to dirt track to Nascar, often attending these events with his family and many friends for over 30 years.
His biggest love was his family and lived to support their dreams and aspirations. He was one proud father to his children.
He was his mother's pride and joy and #1 son. As a brother, his never- ending love for his two siblings will live on in their hearts and souls forever. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Mr. Elvis is survived by his wife, Reneè Rooks Elvis; son, Christian Joel Elvis; daughter, Courtney Marie Elvis; brother, Larry "Jon Jon" Elvis Jr (Cindy); sister, Gina Marie Whitt (Mark); uncles, Ronald T. Elvis Sr. and Carlisle H. Floyd Jr.; nieces, Carson Elvis, Carley Elvis and Brook Freeman (Mike); nephews, Blade Whitt and Gage Whitt along with many other family and special friends that will miss him dearly
Funeral Services will be held at 3pm on Thursday, May 26 th , 2022 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Brown officiating.
Burial will follow at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery at Dog Bluff.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 2:45pm at the funeral home.
