In loving memory of a loving wife, mother, sister, family and friend. She enjoyed fishing, bingo, keeping her house in order and especially spending time with her family.

JoAnn was born May 9, 1956 in Florence County a daughter of the late Arthur Godbolt and Dorothy Mae Timmons Godbolt.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, her siblings, Mary F. Timmons and Bobby J. Timmons, her mother and father-in-law, Curtis and Betty Durant.

JoAnn leaves to cherish her loving memories is her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, George Durant Jr.; her sons, George Jr. Durant, Chris (Lucille) Godbolt, Gaven (Sherell) Godbolt, Kent (Brandi) James; her daughters, Ashley (Paul) Durant and Sylvia Godbolt; ten grandkids, James Robinson, Elijah Godbolt, Lyri Godbolt, Siryan Godbolt, Jamal James, Alonte Franklin, Myah Harrison, Semas Stone and Soneal Stone; siblings, Debra Grice, Mac Godbolt, Lonnie Godbolt and Sharon Woods; a special aunt, Cora Lee Hyman, two special cousins, Angela Hyman and Verna Godbolt; aunts Lenora Timmons, Vera Godbolt, Thelman Lee Godbolt, Beulla Mae James, Uncle Jerome Godbolt, sister-in-laws, Clara (Philip) Washington, Linda (Donald) Jackson, Mabel (Lorenzo) Jackson, Joyce (Charles) young, Leslie Durant, Camila Smith, brother-in-law, Ben Durant. along with many other family and friends who will miss her, but who she loved the most was her grandkids and her cats.

Graveside Services will be held 12:00 pm, Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at Dr. Johnson Cemetery on 4830 Rankin Planation Road, Mars Bluff, SC 29506.

The family will receive friends after the service at the home of George and JoAnn.
