Jimmy Wimberly, 73, passed away on Wednesday, Feb 16, 2022 at his residence. He was born July 6, 1948 in Tabor City, N.C.  He was the son of the late Ralph Durham Wimberly and Willa Maude Fennell Wimberly.

Mr. Wimberly is predeceased by his wife Karen Wimberly and a great granddaughter, Haven Matthews.

Jimmy was a US Marine, serving during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Wimberly is survived by his children; Michael Ward, Tasha Wimberly, Rebecca Wimberly Illes, Ginger Cox and Brandy Cox; siblings; Eddie Wimberly, Gloria Hartfield and Saundra Miles; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.

Graveside Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the cemetery.
