Janie Lee Skipper, 65, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 16, 1958 in Georgetown County, a daughter of the late Lewis Benjamin "L.B." Jones and Genevia Cribb Jones.

She was predeceased by her parents, three siblings, Lewis Jones, Maebelle Jones and Juanita Haynie.

Janie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was in music ministry since childhood and loved singing. Janie always put her family first.

Mrs. Skipper is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Rev. Ernest Wayne Skipper; one son, Bradley Skipper (April); one daughter, Ashley Watts; two brothers, Luther Jones (Linda) and Henry Jones (Vicky); one sister, Mary Etta Owens (James); five grandchildren, Summer Stroud (Hunter), Ryan Skipper, Sarah Watts, Titus Watts and Ethan Skipper; one great grandchild, Blakelynn Stroud and many other family and friends who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be held 11am Monday December 11, 2023 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Carter, Rev. Allan Goodman and Rev. Wayne Skipper officiating.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
