James Lloyd Tyndall, 89, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 8, 1934 in Dunn NC, a son of the late George W. Tyndall and Martha Weaver Tyndall.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, James Lloyd Tyndall Jr; a daughter, Sherry Tyndall Yates; two sisters, Christine Murphy and Earline Ellis and a brother, George Floyd.

He was a US Army Veteran and enjoyed mechanic work, old cars, antiques and driving trucks.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Todd Tyndall; one daughter, Martha Newman (Greg); step grandchildren, Mark Todd (Kim), Timmy Todd (Laura), Ted Todd and Marcie Shannon (Billy); five great grandchildren, and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Tilly Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Altman officiating.

Burial will follow at Centenary UMC Cemetery on Hwy 544.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 at the church before the service.
