James "Jr" Thompkins 82, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at his home. He was born January 3, 1942 in Conway, a son of the late James "Jim" Thompkins Sr. and Nancy Cook Thompkins.

He was predeceased by his parents; his siblings; Francis Sanders, Edna Martin, Daisy Skipper, Furman Thompkins and Linda Johnson.

James was a loving husband, father, POPS, brother, and friend. He loved listening to the radio, exercising and spending time at the river with his friends. Mr. Thompkins loved spending time with his family,  especially his great grandchildren.

Mr. Thompkins is survived by his wife of fifty- eight years, Carolyn Kaye Butman Thompkins; daughter, Angela Louise Thompkins; sister, Patricia Sanders; three grandchildren, Ashley Marie Rabon, Bradley Maxwell Rabon and Tiffany Nicole Rabon (Tyler White); two great grandchildren; James Gunner White and Kaydance Victoria Rabon, and many other family and friends who will miss him.

Graveside Services will be held 1pm, Monday, January 8, 2024 at Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Grainger officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
