James "Bubba" Earl Squires, 79, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 20, 1946 in Mullins SC, a son of the late James Earl Squires Sr. and Flora Kathleen Cribb Squires.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sons, Troy Lee Squires and Timothy Earl Squires; sisters, Flora Lowes and Ann Booth; brother, Thomas David Squires.

James Earl was a family man, who was a loving and devoted husband, dad, granddad, great granddad, brother and friend. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a carpenter and a jack of all trades.

Mr. Squires is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Betty Jane Croft Squires; son, James Anthony "Tony" Squires; two sisters, Cheryl Squires Harrell and  Kathy Squires Jordan; grandchildren, Courtney Ann Squires, Cody Lee Squires (Taylor), Hunter Allen Brumfield, River Chase Squires (Taylor) and Madysen Marie Squires; great grandchildren, Case, Maci, Kylee, Liam, Leo, Luca, Aspen and Wren; and many other family and friends who will miss him.

A Funeral Service will be held 2pm, Sunday, December 14 2025 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Mark Elvis officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
