James “Danny” Dunn ,82, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2026 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born September 5, 1943, in Horry County, a son of the late Claude P. Dunn and Adell Sawyer Dunn.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brothers, David Dunn and Howard Dunn; nephew, Steve Dunn and brother- in- law, Bill Beverly.

Danny was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to all. He was Co-owner and operator of Dunn Brothers Cabinets. He worked with Custom Cabinets for 60 plus years. He loved his family dearly, watching westerns and was a big football fan. Danny enjoyed watching Fox News, to stay current on daily events and was a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard.

Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Jordan Dunn; two daughters, Danette Dunn Alford and Daphne Dunn Rabon (Chad); brother, Winfred Dunn; sister, Barbara Jean Beverly; sister-in-law, Linda Chestnut Dunn; one grandson, Chandler Alford (Taylor Coursey); special niece, Darlene Allgood and many other friends who will miss him.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Danny Turner officiating.

The family will receive family and friends from 1:00pm until 1:45pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

Burial will be private.
