Hoyt Wayne Norris, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Embrace Hospice. He was born July 30, 1933 in Horry County, a son of the late Duffie Lamar and Mattie Hardee Norris.

He was also predeceased by his wife, Frances McDonald Norris; daughter, Susan Norris and siblings, Esta Rankin, Sara Connor, Francis Jeter, Earl Norris, Howard Norris and Charles Norris.

Hoyt was a loving father, uncle and friend to everyone. He was a superintendent with Dargan Construction where he work for thirty-three years. He served in the US Army for a number of years and attended Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, where he enjoyed greeting people. Hoyt loved helping people, was always happy and enjoyed fishing. He loved his pet companion, Lucky.

Mr. Norris is survived by his son, Hoyt Wayne Norris Jr.; nieces, Lora Avant (Rory) and Regina Mew (Paul); sister-in-law, Ina Norris; great nephew, Ethan Avant and many other family and friends who will miss him.

The family asked you to wear mask and social distance.

A Graveside Service will be held 3pm Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
