Horace Alonzo
"Joe Joe" Jordan
May 30, 1948 — Mar 1, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Horace Alonzo "Joe Joe" Jordan, 77, of Conway.
Mr. Jordan passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1,2026, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born May 30,1948 in Conway, SC, a son of the late Charlie Jordan and Euzeal Suggs Jordan.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his five brothers, K.W Jordan, L.C. Jordan, Linwood Jordan, Ronald Jordan, Donald Jordan and Burnie Jordan; four sisters, Edna Mae Skipper, Betty Jean Hucks, Carolyn Skipper and Elizabeth Calhoun.
Alonzo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a devoted servant to his church, his Lord, and especially to his family. Farming wasn't just what he did: it was who he was. He loved his cows, his tractors, and the joy he received in helping others. But above all, he loved his family. They were his greatest harvest and his proudest accomplishment. He was the kind of man who always tried to hold his family together, the center, the glue, the steady anchor in every storm.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Dawn Jordan of the home; five sons, Chris Jordan (Julie), Dwyane Jordan, Kenneth "Tinke" Jordan (Alicia), TR Jordan (Meredith) and Eric Jordan; two daughters, Tracy Jordan Strickland (Joey Hammonds) and Penny Jordan; one sister, Dianne Martin (Willie); eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Juanita Grainger Jordan; along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
